Hate Mail has won the 2014 Quebec Writers' Federation Prize for Children's and YA Literature! And the competition was fierce. Also on this year's shortlist was Monique's YA novel Straight Punch.

 Straight Punch was named a Junior Library Guild Selection for spring 2014.

Hip, hip, hoorah! That's what the Dutch say when they celebrate! The Dutch translation of What World Is Left was released in spring 2012 by the De Fontein publishing house. To add to the excitement, Monique was invited to speak about the book in June at the Stedelijk Museum in Zutphen, the Netherlands. Monique's talk coincided with a retrospective exhibit of her grandfather, Jo Spier's artwork. Zutphen was Jo Spier's hometown!

Pris Au Jeu, the French translation of All In, was released in August 2011 by les Editions de la Courte Echelle. Poupée, the French translation of On the Game, was released in spring 2011 by the same publisher.
